Pimp C is considered one of the greatest rappers to come out of Texas. He was part of the rap group Underground Kingz, also known as UGK, which he helped form in the early 1990's. UGK was signed to Jive Records and released several critically acclaimed albums that also achieved mainstream success. Pimp C mixtapes are some of the best work he ever recorded. His life and his career were cut short by his untimely death in 2007.
