Matt Reeves, most well-known for Cloverfield and more recently, his US remake of Let The Right One In, has been reportedly tapped by Warner Brothers to helm Jason Rothenberg's adaptation of The Twilight Zone TV series, which is also being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio!

Apparently, the position was seriously in demand by a variety of different, well known directors, and the final contract negotiations will be underway during the next week or so!

Unlike the last film based on the Rod Sterling classic, which was an anthology, the new project will be more of a science fiction action flick, with a single story linked to the original in tone and aesthetic!

Well, Reeves has certainly proven he can more than handle action, horror, monsters, AND a college-aged Keri Russell unable to decide between two different, if not equally attractive suitors, so we're curious to see what he brings to this one!

We had a lot of trepidations about seeing Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. We had heard so much bad buzz and the show was so fraught with real-life drama, but saw it on Saturday night and....

It was one of the most dazzling theatrical experiences we have ever seen!

And, most of that, we think, can be attributed to the bold and inspired work of Julie Taymor, who also helmed Disney's groundbreaking Lion King stage musical.

EVERYTHING about Spider-Man worked! The music, from Bono and U2, was so beautiful and varied. It was nuanced, passionate, fun and meaningful!

The performances, especially that of Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, were great!

The sets were breathtaking! The stunts were jaw-dropping! The costumes were clever!

But, most importantly, the show was not campy or silly. It had a sense of gravitas. We bought into this world and FELT for the title character.

Plus, Spider-Man gave us a little bit of everything! It had action, romance, drama, science fiction and even comedy!

It was so spectacular!!!!

Can't recommend it enough!!!

The only problem with the show???? It seems like it would be impossible to take on the road and tour the Broadway production!

So see it here - like it's meant to be seen!

American Reunion Releases Raunchy Red Band Trailer

Continuing the tradition of awkward sexually-charged humor, “American Reunion” has released a brand new red band teaser trailer.

The “American Pie” gang has reassembled almost a decade later and they’re all grown up, though still tragically immature.

“American Reunion” stars Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Seann William Scott, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, and Eugene Levy in what will likely be one of the funniest films of the year.

Unfortunately, we’ll all have to wait until April 6th, 2012 to feast our eyes on the new misadventures of one of the greatest ensemble casts of all time.

So yesterday was our first full day here in San Francisco, CA. After I finished work, I met up with David and his siblings for a bit of shopping and eating. Last night, we parted ways with the sibs and met up with our friends Molly and Kjell at the Herbst Theater to see Ryan Adams live in concert. It was a pretty damn fun Friday, if I do say so myself :D

The Ryan show was just fantastic. The setlist was very similar to the show we saw in LA on Monday night (happily, it included Firecracker) but there were a few changes. Ryan‘s onstage banter was really great … he seems to be in great spirits these days, it’s fun to watch.

Tonight we will be joining David’s sisters for a big pasta dinner that will prep them for the big marathon tomorrow! I’m not sure what we will be doing after but I know the girls will be going to sleep early. It’s my last night in SF, what should I do?

Here's the deal:

The last time Lindsay Lohan got a "Get Out Of Jail Free Card," it was under the conditions that she clean up her teeth act, stay sober and complete 360 hours of community service at a local women's shelter. We already knew she's failed on the first two conditions, but now it seems she's struck out completely! It's been revealed that she was BOOTED from the Downtown Women's Center in L.A for being completely unreliable!

According to sources at the center, Lindsay not only blew off nine visits without warning, but when she did finally show her face, she would always be late and "work" for no longer than an hour! As her contributions to the center were " very unimpressive," the Women's Center fired her two weeks ago, citing several violations to her service agreement. The Probation Department's volunteer center assigned her to a new community service program at the Red Cross shortly, but no word yet if she is fairing any better there.

Now, here's the REAL SCOOP: Next week, Lindsay is due back in court for a progress hearing. The last time she stood in front of Judge Sautner, he swore that if she didn't take her probation seriously, her behind was getting carted back to jail! Wonder if being FIRED from a job she wasn't even getting paid to do qualifies as grounds to smack down the gavel of justice!

Prepare the glitter for bombing! The greatest actress of our generation is back in rare form!

Today I will be making my way cross country from LA to NYC so it’s going to be a bit of a shorter work day for me. As you may know, I’ve become obsessed enamored of the amazing off-Broadway show Sleep No More currently in production in NYC and this week they are doing a series of special Hallowe’en performances of the show. I managed to find a crazy cheap flight so off I go.

I’ll be flying all day long today so things will be back to normal tomorrow. I am very excited for this trip. Tomorrow night’s performance of Sleep No More is called The Darkest Shadow. Friday night’s performance is called Night of Apparitions. As I understand it, we will get to see the show as usual but there will be a special after-performance soirée for attendees and guests. I’ll only be in NYC until Saturday afternoon and then I fly back to LA to enjoy the Hallowe’en festivities here. Happy Hump Day, y’all! I’ll catch y’all on the East Side.
